Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Warm the milk until lukewarm and sprinkle the yeast over it; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until a sticky dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter before serving.
