Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh fruit for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, combining until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before soaking.
  • In a bowl, mix evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream.
  • Poke holes in the cooled cake using a fork.
  • Pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
