Ingredients

  • Fresh fruits strawberries, grapes, or hawthorn berries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the fruits thoroughly.
  • Skewer the fruits onto the wooden sticks, leaving some space between them.
  • In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Increase the heat and bring to a boil without stirring.
  • Monitor the temperature until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  • Remove from heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Dip each skewer of fruit into the syrup, ensuring it's well-coated.
  • Place the coated skewers on a parchment-lined tray to cool.
  • Allow the candy coating to harden completely before serving.
