Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 lb imitation crab meat
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese e.g., mozzarella
  • 1 sheet nori cut into strips
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Soy sauce for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • Combine rice and water in a pot; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until rice is tender.
  • In a bowl, mix the imitation crab meat, mayonnaise, and sriracha sauce.
  • Once the rice is cooked, spread it evenly in a baking dish.
  • Layer the crab mixture over the rice.
  • Top with sliced avocado and shredded cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Garnish with nori strips and green onions before serving.
