Ingredients

  • 4 slices of thick bread Challah or Brioche
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  • Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  • Fold in the mixed berries into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on two slices of bread and top with the remaining slices.
  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
  • Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove from skillet and let cool slightly.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup and additional berries on top.
