Ingredients

  • 1 lb of carne asada or chicken
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 limes cut into wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Salsa or hot sauce optional

Instructions

  • Marinate the meat with salt, pepper, and desired spices for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the marinated meat for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  • Remove the meat from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • Dice the cooked meat into small pieces.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing some meat on each tortilla.
  • Add diced onions, tomatoes, and cilantro on top of the meat.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos for added flavor.
  • Serve with salsa or hot sauce on the side.
