Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
  • Slice the strawberries and place them in a bowl.
  • Add 1/4 cup of sugar to the strawberries and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  • In a blender, combine the macerated strawberries, heavy cream, whole milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Blend until smooth, leaving some strawberry pieces.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 3 hours.
  • Serve garnished with fresh strawberries and mint leaves.
