Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
Fold in the chopped strawberries and nuts, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
