Ingredients

  • 1 lb skirt steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Remove skirt steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Rub the marinade all over the skirt steak.
  • Cover and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat.
  • Place the skirt steak on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Use tongs to flip the steak; avoid piercing it.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer (130°F for medium-rare).
  • Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Slice against the grain into thin strips and serve.
