Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the shrimp and sauce.
  • Stir in the remaining butter until melted and the pasta is well coated.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
  • Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges on the side.
