Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh mushrooms cremini, shiitake, or button
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs thyme or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them evenly.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add butter to the pan and let it melt.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the sliced mushrooms.
  • Spread the mushrooms in a single layer for even cooking.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes without stirring to allow browning.
  • Add minced garlic and stir to combine with the mushrooms.
  • Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
