In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Form the mixture into 4 oval patties.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
Remove patties and keep warm.
In the same skillet, add flour and stir to create a roux.
Gradually whisk in beef broth, stirring until smooth.
Bring the gravy to a simmer and return the patties to the skillet.
Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve patties with gravy over mashed potatoes or rice.
