Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Take the prime rib roast out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and olive oil.
Rub the spice mixture all over the prime rib, ensuring even coverage.
Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan, bone-side down.
Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
Once done, remove the roast from the oven and tent it with foil. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in the same roasting pan, add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up browned bits.
Strain the drippings for a delicious gravy or sauce to serve alongside.
