Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Prepare mashed potatoes and let them cool.
  • In a bowl, mix the cooled mashed potatoes with shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Roll each potato ball in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Carefully place the potato balls in the hot oil.
