Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat.
Sprinkle in grated Parmesan cheese and mix well.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
