Ingredients

  • 300 g pasta fusilli or penne
  • 400 g ground beef or turkey
  • 500 g marinara sauce
  • 200 g mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 100 g parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  • In a skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until soft.
  • Add ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce in a large bowl.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.
