Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lemon for juice and wedges
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides of the fillets with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, place the salmon skin-side down in the skillet.
  • Sear the salmon for about 4-5 minutes without moving it.
  • Carefully flip the fillets using a spatula.
  • Add butter to the skillet and baste the salmon for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cook until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  • Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
  • Garnish with dill and serve immediately.
