Ingredients

  • 4 slices of stale brioche or challah
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Slice the stale bread into thick pieces, about 1 inch each.
