Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg.
  • Mix until well combined and press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add in 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar, and mix until creamy.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
