Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 4 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  • Stir in ice water until the dough forms.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  • Place dough circles in a greased muffin tin.
  • Fill each crust with the apple mixture.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.
