Ingredients

  • 200 g egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 100 g cabbage shredded
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste optional
  • Fried shallots for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sliced onion; sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in the julienned carrot and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Add shredded cabbage and cook until slightly wilted.
  • Incorporate the cooked noodles into the skillet.
  • Pour in soy sauce and sweet soy sauce; mix well.
  • If desired, add chili paste for extra heat.
  • Stir in chopped spring onions and cook for an additional minute.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fried shallots on top.
