In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with a bit of milk until smooth.
Once the cake is done, let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack and drizzling with glaze.
