Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for glaze

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with a bit of milk until smooth.
  • Once the cake is done, let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack and drizzling with glaze.
