Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or heat oil for frying.
  • Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Stuff each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
  • Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  • Coat each stuffed jalapeno first in flour, then dip in eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Place on a baking sheet if baking, or carefully place in hot oil if frying.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or fry until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven or oil and set on paper towels to drain.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
