Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet yeast 2¼ tsp
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Assorted toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
  • Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour. Stir until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings.
