Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in half of the cheddar cheese into the soup mixture.
  • Combine the green beans with the soup mixture in a large mixing bowl.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 2-quart baking dish.
  • Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and half of the crispy fried onions.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions on top.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until golden brown.
