In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, pour the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion.
Fry each cake for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Carefully flip the funnel cake and fry the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
