Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
  • Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, pour the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion.
  • Fry each cake for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the funnel cake and fry the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
