In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour.
Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it.
Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1-inch thickness.
Cut out circles using a biscuit cutter.
Dust a baking sheet with cornmeal and place the muffins on it.
Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Cook on a griddle over medium heat for 7-10 minutes on each side until golden brown.
