Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture, then mix well.
  • Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until mixed.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  • Incorporate raisins and knead briefly to distribute.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased pan.
