Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Flatten each dough ball slightly with your fingers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
