Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out to about ¼ inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide.
  • Twist each strip and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
