Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Fold in the chopped almonds and chocolate chips.
Divide the dough into two logs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes, then slice into biscotti shapes.
Return the slices to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
