Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • Fold in the chopped almonds and chocolate chips.
  • Divide the dough into two logs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes, then slice into biscotti shapes.
  • Return the slices to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
