Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels.
Rub olive oil all over the tenderloin.
Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Transfer the tenderloin to a roasting pan.
Add beef broth and balsamic vinegar to the pan.
Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve with roasted vegetables on the side.
