Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.
In a bowl, mix the chopped nuts and ground cinnamon.
Lay one sheet of filo dough in the dish and brush with melted butter.
Repeat with 7 more sheets, brushing each with butter.
Sprinkle a thin layer of the nut mixture over the dough.
Layer two more sheets of filo, again brushing with butter.
Repeat the nut layer process until all nuts are used.
Top with remaining filo sheets, brushing each with butter.
Cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes, and bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
