Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella.
  • Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish.
  • Pour half of the meat sauce over the pasta, then add the remaining pasta.
  • Top with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
