Ingredients

  • 2 cups green cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 cup red cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup bell peppers thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Shred the green and red cabbage, julienne the carrots, and slice the bell peppers.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbages.
  • Add the julienned carrots and sliced bell peppers.
  • Toss in the chopped green onions and cilantro.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey or maple syrup.
  • Pour the dressing over the vegetable mixture.
  • Toss the salad thoroughly to coat all ingredients.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
