Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and beaten egg.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix until well combined, ensuring not to overwork the meat.
  • Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Prepare a dipping sauce using soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a dash of chili oil.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
