Ingredients

  • 500 g bread flour
  • 350 ml water room temperature
  • 10 g salt
  • 5 g instant yeast
  • 10 g sugar

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, yeast, and sugar.
  • Gradually add water to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf.
  • Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Cover and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  • Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
