Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out the pastry dough and fit it into a 9-inch tart pan.
Peel, core, and slice the apples thinly.
In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
Arrange the apple mixture evenly over the pastry.
Dot the apples with butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender and crust is golden.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Brush the tart with warm apricot glaze for shine (optional).
Serve warm or at room temperature.
