Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Fold in half of the sliced almonds into the dough.
Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and place it on a lined baking sheet.
Press the remaining sliced almonds on top of each cookie dough ball.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
